Alright here i am posting this because something very interesting has appeared while i was watching a youtube video, a lot of people left comments saying that the Yamaha Sgs are better than the Gibson Sgs. The reasoning behind is the 100+ years that yamaha has been making guitars has given them the proper experience and insight to produce some wonderful guitars. Now i am not questioning the fact that they make some sweet guitars what im interested in is if they are really better than the Gibsons. I have heard that yamaha has actually brought Carlos Sanatana some of their prototype SG series guitars to test out and he wanted a guitar with a lot of sustain, so he believed that extra weight would do the trick, and it did, these guitars has incredible sustain but that is why they are so damn heavey. And they have a wonderful creamy tone but are they really able to out perform a real Gibson SG. I want you guys to tell me what you know especially if you own, im looking itno buying one as a distant future guitar
